Operator experience

The work below was carried out on brands operated by the SOMİ team, not for external clients. We state that at the top of every entry so there is no ambiguity about the relationship.

SOMİ is a new service provider. Rather than present ourselves as having a client history we do not have, we publish the marketplace work our team has actually done, on our own brands, with the relationship declared.

Outcomes below are operational rather than financial. The only figures we publish are ones we can evidence from the accounts themselves, such as ASIN counts and marketplace coverage. We do not publish revenue, ranking or advertising performance claims.

Leruum — multi-market catalogue expansion

Marketplaces: Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr
Category: Home textiles
Starting position: An established UK catalogue with no presence in the German and French marketplaces, and listing content written for UK search behaviour only.
Work carried out: Listing localisation rather than translation, including keyword research in each target marketplace. Title and bullet rewriting against local search terminology. Attribute mapping to category requirements per marketplace. Variation and parent-child structure maintenance across the expanded catalogue.
Operational outcome: Over 150 ASINs published and maintained across three marketplaces, with variation families intact and localised content in place rather than machine-translated copy.
Context: Catalogue structure and content are within an operator's control. Sales performance in a new marketplace depends on demand, competition and pricing as well, so no sales claim is made here.

Marsala — European compliance readiness

Marketplaces: Amazon.de, Amazon.fr
Requirement: EU General Product Safety Regulation and Extended Producer Responsibility obligations affecting listing eligibility.
Starting position: Live listings facing new documentation requirements, with obligations spread across the manufacturer, the appointed economic operator and the seller account.
Work carried out: Identification of which requirements applied per product and marketplace. A documentation checklist naming the responsible party for each item. Coordination with third-party providers and with the appointed responsible person. Listing field updates once documentation was available.
Operational outcome: Requested documentation was coordinated and the relevant listing fields were updated, without an observed interruption to listing availability.
Context: Testing, certification and the responsible person role were carried out by qualified third parties. SOMİ's work was requirement identification, documentation coordination and the Amazon-side updates.

Leruum — listing image and content production

Marketplaces: Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr
Starting position: Product photography that met basic requirements but did not communicate material, size or use, and detail pages without structured supporting content.
Work carried out: Main image correction against Amazon specification. Secondary and lifestyle asset production, including AI-assisted imagery produced from real product photography. Infographic and comparison visuals. A+ module planning and copy. Application of Amazon's synthetic performer metadata requirement where photorealistic AI-generated people appeared, and verification that the metadata survived file export.
Operational outcome: A complete, specification-compliant image set and structured detail page content across three marketplaces.
Context: Image approval and listing display are determined by Amazon. Our work covers production, specification compliance and disclosure metadata.

What this means for a client engagement

The work above was done under the same constraints a client account has: real deadlines, real Amazon decisions and real third parties who had to be coordinated. What it does not include is a portfolio of external client results, because we do not have one yet and will not manufacture one.

Where a service is newer to us than the rest, we say so before an engagement begins rather than after.
